Man Misses Dog, Hit Guy Wire In DeFuniak Springs

The driver, 62 year old Rex Scott, of Ponce De Leon, advised that he was heading West on Baldwin Avenue when a stray dog darted out in front of his vehicle. He swerved to avoid the dog and ran into a guy-wire attached to a Gulf Power utility pole.
Scott was not injured and no other persons were involved. The truck sustained an estimated $1,500 in damages. Gulf Power personnel reported approximately $400 in damages to the guy-wire. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in this unfortunate traffic crash. No charges are being filed.
