A Wiregrass woman plans to celebrate a milestone not many people will ever reach. Quilla Mae Tew turns 100 years old this week. She was born February 8th, 1911.

To give you a little perspective, William Taft was president when Miss Tew was born....construction was just finished on Pearl Harbor...and Chevrolet was just getting it's start.

Miss Tew says she "doesn't like being old" and does not want a party. Her family plans to throw one anyway Saturday at Taylor Senior Center.
