Wiregrass Kids' Market
Organizers of Wiregrass Kids’ Market are excited about teaming up again with the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank to kick off the kids and baby items consignment sale this year. The WKM sale is hosting a food drive to benefit the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank from Feb. 12-14 & 16 at the old Circuit City building in Dothan on the corner of Hwy 231 and the Ross Clark Circle. There is no admission fee to shop; organizers encourage shoppers to bring canned goods to donate.
The bi-annual sale has developed a following among parents in the area because they can find great deals on everything from consigned and new clothes, toys and baby gear to furniture like cribs and bassinettes. Strollers and high chairs, normally high dollar items in retail stores, are sold for a fraction of the cost.
WKM organizer Amy Buntin anticipates a great crowd and hopes the food drive will greatly benefit the Wiregrass
Area United Way Food Bank.“We
started doing a food drive a few sales ago. It’s been encouraging to
see so many shoppers participate. I’m always happy with the sense of
community and social responsibility it brings to our sale” says Buntin.
The sale is open to the public at the following times:
Saturday, Feb 12 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday, Feb 13 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Monday, Feb 14 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
*Wednesday, Feb 16 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
