Former Alabama Attorney General Troy King is now officially out of public office and is returning to private practice.

King's term as the state's top attorney ended January 17 when Luther Strange took over the office.  Strange easily beat King in the Republican primary last year, then went on to beat Democrat James Anderson.

Troy King says he is teaming up with Montgomery attorney H.E. "Chip" Nix to create King & Nix.

He says his new practice will take him to the other side of the courtroom.  Some of the firm's cases will be representing clients against government agencies and departments.
