Freshman Congresswoman Sewell To Escort President

Freshman Alabama congresswoman Terri Sewell has been chosen for another high profile position in Washington D.C.

       Sewell will escort President Barack Obama into the house chamber prior to his state of the union address Tuesday.

       Sewell says it's an honor and she says she looks forward to hearing Mr. Obama outline his agenda for moving America's families and businesses forward.

      Alabama will also be represented at the gathering  HB Brantley. Brantley is a small  business owner chosen to attend the proceedings as a representative for the 7th Congressional district.    Brantley owns a  project management firm in Birmingham that was hit hard by the economic downturn.   

      President Obama will deliver the annual state of the union address to a joint session of Congress at 7pm Tuesday.
