The
Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports the seizure of a large
amount of illegal “party” drugs and cash believed to be used in one or
more upcoming New Year’s Parties.
The seizure was the result of a traffic stop by a Washington County
Sheriff’s Office deputy while on patrol on Highway 77 south. During the
course of the stop, a number of illegal drugs including Valium, large
amounts of Ecstasy, XANAX, and Methamphetamines as well as Marijuana
packaged for sale were found in the vehicle. Over $18,000 in cash was
also found during the vehicle search.
Arrested was:
Gregory Robinson 44 year old black male of Brown Street in Graceville, FL
· Possession of Methamphetamines with Intent to Distribute
· Possession of Barbiturate with Intent to Distribute
· Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
· Possession of Controlled Substance with out Prescription
· Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Tracie Douglas, 25 year old white female of Laurie Ave., Panama City Beach, FL
· Possession of Methamphetamines with Intent to Distribute
· Possession of Barbiturate with Intent to Distribute
· Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
· Possession of Controlled Substance with out Prescription
· Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
· Driving With Out Valid License
“Typically when we see large amounts of these types of narcotics in
as many different forms as we have here, it is generally a strong
indicator that they are intended to be sold at large parties or
gatherings.” states Sheriff Haddock. “This had all the ingredients to
be an incredibly dangerous situation with far reaching consequences for
many people. We couldn’t be more pleased to have stopped the sell of
these drugs dead in its tracks.”
In an unrelated incident, officers arrested a man found him to be
driving under the influence of alcohol. During the arrest,
methamphetamines were found in his possession.
