Panama City Beach Airport Sees Flight Delays/Cancellations

Wintery weather in the southeast is canceling and delaying a number of Christmas Day flights.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport representatives confirmed Saturday that airport traffic was steady all day, but the site is being affected by the travel changes.

A Delta Airlines flight set to arrive from Atlanta at 7:10pm was canceled.  A Delta flight coming from Memphis at 8:57 was canceled too.

Airport spokespeople confirm a Southwest Airlines flight headed from Nashville at 3:45 was delayed.

The Delta flight bound for Atlanta at 3:42 was also canceled.

A Delta Air Lines spokesperson says 500 weather-related flight cancellations were planned for Saturday nationwide. That included 300 of the 800 scheduled departures from Atlanta. 

The National Weather Service is predicting predicts up to an inch of snow accumulation for Saturday in the Atlanta area.
