East Alabama Marine Dies In Afghanistan

A Marine from Alexander City died last week fighting in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says Staff Sgt. Stacy A. Green died on December 10 during combat in Afghanistan.  The 34-year-old was fighting in the Helmand province.

Green was assigned to a battalion out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

The Department of Defense has not announced any funeral plans for the Alabama Marine.
