Gabe Watson's Attorney Working To Get Client Out Of Jail

Updated: December 8, 2010

The man accused of killing his wife on their 2003 Australian honeymoon is behind bars tonight.  However, Gabe Watson's attorney hopes it won't be for long.

Brett Bloomston will try to get his client out on bond.  He's already prepared a motion asking that Watson be released.  He will file the motion when a judge is assigned to the case.  Bloomston will have a fight on his hands.  Attorney General Troy King says he will do everything possible to make sure Watson is not released.

Watson is charged with capital murder in the course of kidnapping and capital murder for pecuniary gain, or monetary gain.  Prosecutors say he planned Tina Watson's death here in Alabama, before they left for their honeymoon.
