Extradition Hearing Planned For Tuesday In Los Angeles For Gabe Watson

By: Stephen Crews
Updated: November 29, 2010

An extradition hearing will take place Tuesday for Gabe Watson.  The 33-year old Hoover man is wanted in Alabama for capital murder in the death of his wife Tina.  Alabama has ten days to extradite Watson after tomorrow's hearing.  That would put him back in Alabama before or on December 10th.

Prosecutors claim Watson planned his wife's death in Alabama, before the couple left for an Australian honeymoon in 2003.  She drowned while scuba diving.

The charges against Watson include capital murder in the course of kidnapping and capital murder for pecuniary or monetary gain.

Watson served 18 months in prison in Australia.  He pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Tina Watson's death.
