Three Car Accident In Walton County Leaves One Dead

he Florida Highway Patrol is releasing the names of the victims involved in a three-car crash on US 331 in Walton County on Friday morning.

FHP confirms the accident happened Friday morning just before 11:00 on Highway 331.  The driver of a Chevrolet SUV collided head-on with 56-year old Gayle Willis of Montgomery, Alabama.  

Troopers say she was driving a Dodge van.  After impact, Willis’ van rolled over onto its side.  FHP confirms Willis died in the accident.  

The SUV driver, 18-year-old Jonathan Howell of Defuniak Springs, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.  

Authorities say he was not wearing a seatbelt.  A third car was involved too…but that driver was not hurt.
