Bay County Sheriff's Department Arrests Five In Southport Murders

Sheriff Frank McKeithen announces the arrests of Christy Leigh Taylor, Christopher J. Morgan and David Noel Jones in the homicide of Steven Gulk.  Investigators have also obtained arrest warrants on Tanner Joseph Collins and are asking for the public's help in locating Collins. 

On Sunday, November 21, 2010, at approximately 2:12 am, Bay County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call from the victim of a shooting at 130 Mill Way.  The victim, Steven Ancil Gulck (White Male, DOB/12061961) was discovered in the residence with a gunshot wound.  Steven Gulck was transported to Bay Medical Center, where he subsequently died during surgery as a result of the gunshot wound.  Witnesses observed possible suspects departing the area. 

  • Christy Taylor (WF, DOB/031790),  was charged with Principal to Felony Murder and Principal to Home Invasion Robbery



  • Christopher Morgan (BM, DOB/041986)  was charged with Home Invasion Robbery with a Firearm and an Open Count of Murder

  • David Noel Jones (WM, DOB/ 042986) was charged with Accessory to Murder After the Fact.

  • Tanner Joseph Collins (WM, DOB/080787), has arrest warrants for Home Invasion Robbery with a Firearm and an open count of Murder. 

A Hispanic Male associate of the above subjects is also believed to be a witness in this investigation.
