Updated: November 15, 2010

On 10/7/2010 Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 3090 Hoovers Mill Rd.

Inside the old Mill investigators discovered that the old mill had been remodeled into an elaborate marijuana grow house.  Investigators located over fifty marijuana plants along with pounds of marijuana leaf trimmings as well as sophisticated marijuana growing equipment.

Investigators quickly identified two persons of interest (W/M Jeremy Joseph Coatney of Panama City and his mother W/F Sheila Anita Bourkard also of Panama City) and began gathering evidence.

Today Sheriff Brown would like to announce that those two persons of interest have been arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana and operating a grow house (marijuana).

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).  Sheriff Brown would like to thank them for their assistance.
