Three Dead In North Alabama Traffic Accident

Three people are dead following a crash on US Highway 280 in the Birmingham area. The crash happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. on November 12.
Jessica Wyatt Fields, 32, of Sylacauga was traveling east on US Highway 280 when her 1995 Chevrolet Lumina van was struck by a 2004 Ford Mustang.
The Mustang, driven by Manley Ray Williams, 19, of Leeds, was traveling south on County Road 55 when he failed to stop at a stop sign.
Mr. Williams struck Jessica Fields’ vehicle in the side killing her and her two sons, John Clay Fields, 7, and Tony Ray Fields, 9. The crash also injured Mrs. Fields’12 year old daughter, Angelina Fields. Due to her injuries, Angelina Fields was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Manley Ray Williams and his passenger, Joshua Stokes, received minor injuries and were transported to UAB Hospital. Manly Williams was treated and released then placed under arrest for 3 counts of reckless murder and 1 count of first degree assault.
The crash occurred on US Highway 280 at the 20.2 mile marker and continues to be investigated by the Alabama State Troopers.
