A car crash in Walton County sends one man to the hospital in serious condition.  Florida Highway Patrol officials say it happened Friday evening in Defuniak Springs.

The driver of a ford pickup was headed east-bound on State Road 10.  When that driver slowed down to make a left turn onto Owens Road, another driver, 32-year-old Francisco Martinez, struck the left side of the pickup truck and hit a tree.

Martinez’s car rolled onto the shoulder coming to a final rest upside down.

He was not wearing his seatbelt and was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
