Youth and Challenged Sportsman Deer Hunt

The Fort Rucker Outdoor Recreation encourages soldiers and their families to come out and join in on November 19 for their annual “Youth & Challenged Sportsman Deer Hunt,” at  the MRF Range located just off Hwy 27. 

This event is for youth  between the ages  of 7-15 and challenged sportsmen of all ages! Challenged sportsmen and parents/escorts of youth must have an Alabama State hunting license, Hunter Safety completion card. EFMP Friendly.

Poker Run

A poker run is being held on November 13 at Harley Davidson of Dothan. Ride departs will be from Harley Davidson of Dothan with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The first bike will be out at 9:30 a.m. with the last bike out at 10:00 a.m. Last bike in will be 12:00 p.m. Cost of the poker run is $10 per hand. Prizes will be handed out for first, second and third place. There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 contest.

All proceeds are to help Mark and Starla Reeder with medical bills. Please join in and help fight Mark’s battle with cancer. This is a family oriented event.

Second Annual Those Special Gifts Craft Show

The second annual “Those Special Gifts” craft show will be held by Sisters In A Stritch on Saturday, November 13, 2010. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church at the corner of Highway 52 West and Highway 59 (Brannon Stand Road).

All proceeds will go for material to make items for local nursing homes, Wiregrass Hope, Love In Action and the homeless.


Flag Retirement Ceremony Planned in Enterprise

Sam Boswell Honda would like to invite everyone to a flag retirment ceremony on Thursday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m.

Will Drummond, Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 150 will have his troops out to help retire the old flag, and Ken Prier, Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Enterprise Coffee County Chapter #9 and his men will conduct the raising of th enew flag during the singing of the National Anthem.

Afterwards everyone is invited for a good old- fashioned Veterans’ Day cook-out complete with hot dogs and hamburgers.
