If you bumped into any of the men and women of the Dothan Fire Department Wednesday-- you might have noticed something a little out of the ordinary.

The entire department is sporting pink shirts. It's all in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Firefighters sold the shirts to raise money for cancer research. In all they raised about a thousand dollars.

"Everyone has someone close to them that's been affected by cancer. This was just an opportunity for our fire department to draw attention to cancer awareness in women," Dothan Fire Captain Chris Etheredge said.

If you didn't catch a glimpse yet-- there is still time. Members of the department will sport the shirts Thursday and Friday as well.
