The Houston County Sheriff's office says they've arrested a man who was helping illegal immigrants. They say the man was making fake identification cards and selling them to illegals.

Deputies say they arrested 21 year old Cristian Rosales Saturday. The arrest came after two search warrants at two locations in Dothan. Those searches turned up an array of tools used to make the fake documents-- including printers, blank ID cards and computers.

Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes says it was anything but a small operation. "It was pretty surprising to us to find find this elaborate of a set up. You hear about things going on like this but we've never had too much information on it going on here in the Dothan area," Hughes said.

Rosales sits in the Houston County Jail on charges of Possessing Forgery devices and Forged instruments-- both felonies. There is no bond and each charge carries up to a ten year sentence.

Sheriff Hughes says deputies sort of stumbled onto this case. An off duty deputy saw what he thought was a drug transaction. He called another deputy to stop the vehicle. It turned out to be the actually sale of a fake green card.
