Man Nabbed On Robbery, Bomb Threat Charges

By: Ken Curtis
Updated: August 9, 2010

A man has been arrested and charged with robbery in the holdup of an Enterprise pharmacy.  William Arthur Kirkland, 24, also faces charges he made two bomb threats shortly before the holdup at Walgreen's on Rucker Boulevard last week.

Police Captain Mike Lolley said the threats targeted a nursing home and  convenience store.  No bombs were found at either place.

Kirkland is believed to have jumped the pharmacy counter at Walgreen's taking narcotics.  Lolley said a pistol was used during the robbery.

Police say Kirkland fled on a motorcycle and it was the helmet he wore during the heist that tipped an investigator off.

Kirkland is held in the Coffee County Jail.
