It's time to roll up your sleeves and take your medicine if you're in a certain age or grade group.

The Alabama Department of Public Health says public school students 11 years old and older entering the 6th grade must have a new certificate of immunizatrion. The "blue slip" will include a TDAP booster which guards against tetanus, diptheria and whooping cough.

Coffee County Clinic Supervisor Debbie Baker says whooping cough is making a comeback nationwide. In Alabama there were 20 cases of whooping cough reported in 2000. In 2009 she says that number jumped to 315. Contact your local health department for more information.
