Suspect Killed In Officer Involved Shooting in Dothan

Dothan Police say a suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Dothan Thursday night.

It happened at the "Hop In" store at the corner of West Main and Honeysuckle. Police Say they approached a car that was suspected to be involved in a drug deal. Shots were fired by at least one officer-- one suspect was killed. We're told another is in custody.

Dothan Police Major Steve Parrish told WDHN's Ken Curtis one officer was also injured. That officer's injuries are not life threatening.

Houston County Sheriff's Deputies and Dothan Police are at the scene. The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is responding to investigate.
