Eddie Roy Pope, Sr

Mr. Pope was born on June 2, 1947 in Pike County, AL and has lived all of his life in the Midland City area. He worked at Kenworth of Dothan and Shelley Trucking in Headland as a diesel mechanic. He was a very talented mechanic and was in constant demand throughout the area. Mr. Pope was dearly loved by his brothers and sisters and all of his children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Grace Pope, and his brothers J.W. Tommy Pope, Ernest Pope, and a sister Johnny Hartzog.
Survivors include sons, William Paul Pope of Midland City and Eddie Roy Pope, Jr. and his wife Marjorie of Midland City; daughters, Frances Elaine German and her husband Rodney of Midland City and Lori Jewell Chandler and her husband Greg of Ozark; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother Donald Pope and his wife Beatrice; sisters, Christine Parker and her husband Max of Abbeville, Ruth Gray of Kinsey and Catherine Ray and her husband Fred of Dothan; a host of nieces and nephews also survives.
