Houston County Sheriff's Deputies have taken almost $40,000 worth of meth off the streets. Sheriff Andy Hughes said the meth was confiscated when two people wre arrested late last week.
However---a related search warrant at an apartment was executed over the weekend --- that resulted in the seizure of more drugs and several guns plus something that deeply concerns the sheriff.
"They were also in possession of military surplus body armor - very disturbing to us in law enforcement especially this body armor here - this body armor here is just like our soldiers are wearing in Iran and Afghanistan and other parts of the world. This plate which is inserted in this body armor is capable of stopping up to a seven point six two millimeter round which is equivalent to a three oh eight caliber rifle," Sheriff Hughes said.
Stephen Tyler Majors and Joshua Allen Garzarek were charged with the drugs.
