A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Thomas will be 2 P.M. Monday, July 5, 2010 in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Kathy Stumbaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time on Monday from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Southeast Alabama Home Health Care.
Mr. Thomas was born February 5, 1935 in Coffee County, the son of the late Robert Thomas and Addie Mae Barbaree Thomas. He was a truck driver by profession and loved being at the lake fishing and watching NASCAR.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Merle Bryant, brother, Robert Thomas and infant sister, Christine Thomas.
Mr. Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Thomas of Midland City, daughters Debra Sullivan and her husband Donny of Pinckard , Jennifer Corbitt of Dothan, son, Jeffrey Thomas of Midland City, sister, Faye Brunson of Midland City, brother, Bobby Thomas and his wife Sandra of Skipperville, grandchildren, Briann Corbitt, Raven Corbitt, Abby Ellender, and great-grandchild Leigha Madison.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Aliabadi and staff and also to Southeast Alabama Home Health Care for all the loving care they gave to Mr. Thomas.
