Dianne G. Hogg, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. She was 65.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street with The Reverend Glenda Davis officiating and music by Mr. Tom McLain. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Avon with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to service time.
Mrs. Hogg was born on July 12, 1944 in Marianna, Florida and resided in various places while growing up. She was a graduate of Florida State University where she received her degree in Elementary Education. In 1985, she moved to Dothan where she resided the remainder of her life. She was a homemaker and also worked in retail and merchandising for several years. Mrs. Hogg was a member of The Spiritual Enrichment Center of Dothan. Survivors include her husband, Bob Hogg and her daughter, Alice, both of Dothan; her mother, Margaret Gunter of Pensacola, Florida; a brother, Bud Gunter and his wife, Barbara of Wisconsin; three nieces, Kelly, Dawn, and Cami; a nephew, Mickey; a very special great-nephew, Cameron.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Covenant Hospice and also their friends at The Spiritual Enrichment Center for their loving care of Dianne during her illness.
