Installing PermaTurf® Panels
SOIL PREPARATION
Level the existing soil to allow for natural drainage. Spread sub-base of crushed gravel and sand. Grind and compact gravel 8"-12" in depth. A minimum of 12" is recommended for commercial use. Spread and level 1 1/2" of soil/sand mix on top of sub-base. Compact lightly.
Step 1
Secure a cord from point A to point B.
Step 2
Set the first PermaTurf® panel (#1) at point a with the 3 holes facing along the cord line. Connect the second panel (#2) to interlock with the first panel by positioning it in the same direction as panel #1. Continue to point B.
Step 3
Connect the first panel in row 2 (#3) by interlocking the 3 holes in new panel to hooks on panel 31. Continue this procedure until the designated area is completed. Connected areas up to 10 sq. yards can be re-aligned as one unit.
Step 4
When all panels are in place, fill them with loam. Add fertilizer, then spread grass seed, and rake in. After seeding, keep surface moist to allow ground to settle just below the surface of the panel forms. Do not use the area until first cut of grass. Maintain as you would any lawn.
Solar-Powered Outdoor Illumination
A solar panel in each light converts sunlight into energy during the day and stores it in high capacity Ni-Cad batteries to provide over 8 hours of illumination. The light turns on automatically at sundown...and you'll never pay for electricity or batteries to run it! Rugged construction and weather-proof housing prevent moisture and corrosion damage. Wall mount or ground stake design is easy to install.
Gardena Water Computer
It’s the water computer by Gardena, simple to use, works off a 9-volt battery. You have 6 programs to choose from or make up your own. Another product is the water distributor. It works with the computer and can control the watering in up to 6 sections of your lawn, or 6-different water systems. The distributor costs about $100, and the computer costs about $50.
