County and city leaders met Thursday afternoon to determine how $125,000  could be spent.

EMA Director Clark Matthews said the county recently received the federal funds from homeland security. During the meeting Matthews asked town and city leaders around Houston County what equipment they needed.

"We take this money to support these teams that support the community so well. We will continue to support these smaller agencies as much as we can," said Matthews.

The Cottonwood Police Department asked for more radios, but others said they already well equipped.
