Doris Graves Jackson Tew

Mrs. Doris Graves Jackson Tew, former Dothan businesswoman, passed away Christmas night, at her home on Haisten Drive. She was attended by her two daughters and her granddaughter. She was 80 years of age at the time of her death.
Funeral services will be held at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home on Hartford Highway at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, with the Rev. T.C. Harty officiating. Burial to follow at Memory Hills on Hartford Highway. Mrs. Tew is the former wife of J.T. Jackson, deceased, and the widow of Alton C. Tew, also deceased. She is preceded in death by three sisters and is survived by sisters, Effie Wiggins of Dothan, Helen Werts of Montgomery and Ann Roughton of Dothan.
She is also survived by daughters, Cynthia Bray of Dothan, Sylvia Jackson-Harty of Winter Haven, Fla.; grandchildren, Robert Manning, Tiffany Taylor, Jason Bray, Kellon Sanders; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tew was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church and Dothan Country Club where she was a champion golfer. She was an active member of the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary. For several years she owned and operated Jackson Realty.
The family will receive visitors at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m.
