Ms. Peggy Jean Coleman, a resident of Headland, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 82.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Headland Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Cecil Sanders Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Resource Center, PO Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.
Ms. Coleman was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Okeechobee, Fla., to the late James W. and Ethel L. Coleman. She lived in Birmingham, Union Springs, Troy, Mobile, New York City, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Memphis, Tenn., and Nashville, Tenn. While in Nashville, she retired from Amoco Oil Company and moved to Headland in 1982.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in law, James W. and Rena A. Coleman, Birmingham; two nieces, Rhonda C. Saint, Tallahassee, Fla., and Gale Coleman, Huntsville; a beloved cousin, Betty B. Pugh, Pensacola, Fla.
