Mr. Charles J. Howell of Chancellor passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at the family residence. He was 73.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at the White Water Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Music, Mitchell Ussery and Paul Lett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors at the graveside and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Howell was born May 2, 1934, to the late James Austin and Essie V. Newsome Howell. Prior to his retirement he worked as a mechanic with Fleming Foods of Geneva. He attended the Geneva Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lou Pippins, Grace Sanders and Jeanette Howell; four brothers, Jack Howell, Bill Howell, Coy Berle Howell and James Oscar Howell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rena K. Howell of Chancellor; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lori Howell, Chancellor; one brother, Wallace (Teressa) Howell, Chancellor; two sisters, Ann Hatcher, Tallahassee, Fla., and Mary Frank Grace, Chancellor; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Howell and Sara Howell, Hartford; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, (334) 684-2600, is in charge of arrangements.
