Mr. Max Lynn Calhoon passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 69.
Funeral services for Mr. Calhoon will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Calhoon was born March 31, 1938, in Albion, Mich., the son of the late Ted and Barbara Calhoon. Mr. Calhoon retired from Jackson Crank Shaft; later on he opened an auto paint and body shop in Michigan. He moved to Dothan in 1981 and started M&M Paint and Body Shop on Ross Clark Circle. Upon retiring, he opened M&M Cleaning Service and Floor Refinishers. He was of the Baptist faith and was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Calhoon.
Mr. Calhoon leaves behind to cherish his memories sons, Kevin Calhoon and his wife Wendy, Todd Calhoon, Troy Calhoon and his wife Dee Dee; wife, Rachelle Calhoon; her children, John Wingate and his wife Tracy, Angel Pavlick and her husband James, Cissy Wingate; sister, Bonnie Smith and her husband Charles; 20 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Calhoon, Troy Calhoon, Bobby Cook, John Wingate, Ronnie Williams, Daks Hogan and Pat Greenlee.
