Mrs. Peggy Sue English Wilkinson of Dothan died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007. She was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time on Friday. At other times, the family will be at the home of P.C. and Charlotte Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Dothan in honor of Mrs. Wilkinson
Mrs. Wilkinson was born in Barbour County on Oct. 12, 1934, the daughter of the late J.C. English and Matilda Searcy English. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dothan. She loved traveling on many wonderful trips, especially the Holy Land. She shared many trips with her family to Yellowstone, a place in which she found great beauty and peace. Mrs. Wilkinson was a homemaker for most of her life, raising five children. Her strength came from her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Pat Wilkinson.
Mrs. Wilkinson leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughters, Jan Devane and her husband, Sonny, of Cottonwood, Amy Watson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Dothan, Charlotte Brown and her husband, P.C., of Dothan; sons, Mike Wilkinson and his wife, Sandra, of Panama City Beach, Fla., Randy Wilkinson of Slocomb; sister, Patsy Bush and her husband, Herman, of Blue Springs; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Wilkinson, Brook Wilkinson, Casey Brown, Owen Brown, Sara Beth Brown, Anna Grace Watson and Will Watson; nephews, Scott Bush and his wife, Suzanne, Steven Bush and his wife, Suzy.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. John Dunn and his staff, Dr. Wayne Hannas Sunday School Class and to all their friends and neighbors for all their love, support and prayers.
