Mrs. Elma Hughes Langford of Ozark died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Dale Medical Center. She was 86.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, 2 p.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Hill and Richard Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Ridgecrest Baptist Church Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Langford was born May 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Harry and Jennie Hughes. She was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Emmie Hunt Sunday School Class and Golden Age Singers. She retired from Dale Medical Center as a Certified Licensed Dietician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wilmer Langford; her step-mother, Jewell Hughes; and sister, Mildred Thompson.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lenora Brown (Rex), Virginia Logan (Robert), Judy Wright (Ronald), all of Ozark; five grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Clark (Chuck), Rob Logan (Lori), Karen Benton (Beau), Jenny Brown (Chris), Kathy Yohn (Jason); 11 great-grandchildren, David and Ashley Clark, Clark Logan, Logan Hallyburton, Meagan and Blake Brown, Samuel, Sarah-Wynn and J. Wilson Benton, Ellis and Emory Yohn; sister and brother-in-law, Ouida and James Beasley, and a nephew, Jimmy Beasley (Deborah).
Serving as pallbearers will be Beau Benton, Chris Brown, Chuck Clark, David Clark, Rob Logan, and Jason Yohn.
Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, (334) 774-4551, is in charge of arrangements.
