Mrs. Ruby Cauley Heath, a resident at Wesley Manor Retirement Home died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007. She was 90.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, one hour prior to service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main Street, Suite 3, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Heath was born Oct. 26, 1917, in Coffee County Alabama, the daughter of the late Ples Cauley and Nora Hudson Cauley.
She was a member of Lafayette Street Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was a wonderful interior decorator for many years, having worked with Blumbergs, Van Ritch, Harris Furniture and finally her Heath-Medford Interiors. She loved her work, church and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett G. Heath, who passed away July 8, 1972.
Survivors include two children, Charles E. Heath of Dothan; Betty Padgett of Marianna, Florida; four grandchildren, Robin Heath of Amelia Island, Fla., Scott Jay of Tallahassee, Fla., Stephen Jay of Birmingham, Anthony Jay of San Diego, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Tucker Heath, Laura Jay, Andrew Jay and Alex Jay.
