Mary Erie Carter of 11149 West US 84, “Wicksburg”, died Monday afternoon, November 12, 2007 at Westside Terrace. She was 85.
Funeral services will be conducted at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 10 A.M. with the Reverend Bob Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services time on Thursday, at other times the family will be at the Andrews residence, 11149 West US 84 in Wicksburg. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Carter was born June 12, 1922 in Covington County and had resided in Houston County since 1956. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the singles adult Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Carter, infant daughter, Linda Ann, her parents and four brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris Andrews and son-in-law Gerald R. Andrews of Wicksburg, grandchildren, Gerald R. Andrews, Jr. and wife Julie of Albany, GA, John W. Andrews of Dothan ,two grandchildren, Nathan Luke Andrews and Rylie Evelyn Andrews, of Albany, GA., a sister Winnie Ola Weeks of Opp, Alabama., Several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Tiffany Weaver of Enterprise, AL.
