Mrs. Lorene Bolin, longtime resident of Pinckard, died Friday morning, Nov. 9, 2007, at Wesley Manor Retirement Home in Dothan. She was 76.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bolin will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Pinckard Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Stone officiating. She will be laid to rest at Pinckard City Cemetery under the direction of Ward-Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time on Monday at Pinckard Baptist Church. At other times the family will be gathered at the home of Mrs. Bolins daughter, Virgina Grigsby. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mrs. Bolin was born Feb. 21, 1931 in Ozark, the daughter of the late Offie A. Hughes and Dollie Rose Tidwell Hughes.
She was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lewie Jansen King, brother, Dewey Paul Hughes, and sister, Corene Tyer.
Mrs. Bolin leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of 29 years, Robert "Bob" Bolin of Pinckard; a daughter, Virgina Grigsby and her husband Richard of Dothan, sons, Frankie King and his wife Jan of Dothan,
Craig King of Pinckard; a brother, Edward Hughes of Ozark; grandchildren, Paige Peterson Keel and her husband Bobby of Slocomb, Sara Beth King of Dothan; great-grandchildren, Clay and Brody Keel.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Wesley Manor, especially Helen Norton and Angie Brunson and also to special friend Virginia Hodges for all the love and care they gave Mrs. Bolin.
