Glenda Faye Jones of East Cox Street, Slocomb, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 67.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, from the Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Revs. Coley M. Holloway and Charles Avery officiating. Burial will follow in the Slocomb City cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. At all other times the family will be at the home of a son, Steve Redwine, Ball Road, Slocomb.
Mrs. Jones was born June 9, 1940, in Slocomb to the late Joseph and Jewel Spivey Avery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slocomb.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Jones, Slocomb; one daughter, Debra Bundrum, Indian Trail, N.C.; one son, Stephen Redwine (Kim), Slocomb; five grandchildren, Allen Redwine, Luke Bundrum, Twila Bundrum, Cody Bundrum and Cole Redwine.
Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, (334) 886-7777, is in charge of arrangements.
