Betty Fransis Lindey, a resident of Dothan and a former resident of Butler, PA, died Friday, November 2, 2007 at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness. She was 82.
Funeral services will be held in Prospect, PA with Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home directing. Byrd Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Prospect, PA.
Mrs. Lindey was born December 19, 1924 in Butler, PA, and lived all of her life there prior to moving to Dothan in 2005. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.
Mrs. Lindey was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Lindey, and by two great granddaughters, Samantha and Lindsey Schuman.
Survivors include three sons, David Lindey and his wife, Judi, Dothan, Dennis Lindey and his wife, Sharon, and Douglas Lindey and his wife, Barbara, all of Butler, PA; one daughter, Lisa Kolb and her husband, Mark, Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Shawn Lindey, Katrina Lindey Schuman, Corrie Lindey Nye, Caleb Lindey and Joshua Kolb; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
