Robert Alexander Leslie of Dothan died Friday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Orlando, Fla. He was 59.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be held on Oct. 31 with Pastor Don Faigout presiding, Robert was preceded in death by his father, Dan, and mother, Ina Laura Leslie.
Robert was an accomplished broadcaster, having worked at radio stations in Houston, Texas, Atlanta, Ga., and Dothan, and most recently on Newstalk 93.7 He was co-host of the popular "Talk of the Wiregrass" radio show. Robert also worked for several years in Mobile. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany.
He is survived by his son, Dan, and daughter-in-law, Shannon, and their two sons, of Johnstown, Colo.; his recent wife, Sharon, of Enterprise; Martie Taylor of Tallahassee Fla., mother of his son; sister, Kay Mustin, and her husband, Donald, of Dothan; brother, Billy Joe Campbell, and wife, Evelyn, of Dothan; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
A man of intellect and integrity, Robert was a true and dedicated father, grandfather and friend. Having touched the lives of many, he will be sorely missed.
