Mr. Michael Lavonne Peters of Holland Road, Newton (Wicksburg Community), passed away on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Flowers Hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 32.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Rev. Buddy Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of a sister, Kathy Dykes, 303 Oak Hill Road, Newton (Wicksburg Community).
Michael was born on Aug. 5, 1975, in Dothan. He graduated from Wicksburg High School in 1993 and was presently employed as a supervisor with J.M. Electric Company.
Survivors include his parents, Murry and Joyce Peters of Dothan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Bobby Dykes and Angie and Ricky Treadaway, all of Wicksburg; his girlfriend, Jennifer Ward of Midland City; special uncle, Bill Orr of Dothan; nieces and nephews, Bradley Dykes, Hillary Dykes, Ashley Treadaway, Brittany Treadaway.
Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, (334) 886-7777, is in charge of arrangements.
