Ann E. Purvis (Gillespie) Enterprise, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Flowers Hospital. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Searcy Funeral Home.
Ms. Purvis was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gillespie; mother and father, Ozzie and Ollie Jones; three sisters, Mary Ann Bradley, Betty Sue Rex and Linda Jones; granddaughter, Melissa Garity.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Garity and Les Ezell, Enterprise, Rachel Purvis and Robert Wenner, Enterprise; four sons and three daughters-in-law, David and Vickie Lee, Daleville, Carl and Denise Harris, Dothan, Ray Purvis, Enterprise, Joseph and Lynn Purvis, Enterprise; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Wayne Powers, Daleville; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Don Jones, Enterprise, Wade and Julie Jones, Pensacola, Fla., Joe and Carol Jones, Enterprise, Ricky Jones, Enterprise, Ivan Jones, Enterprise.
