Mrs. Nellie Kathleen Peacock Kleiser died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Extendicare Health and Rehab. She was 86.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kleiser will be 11 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan with the Associate Pastor Billy Hammons, Senior Pastor Van Gauthe and Associate Pastor Brad Bradford officiating.
Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward-Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church or the charity of ones choice.
Mrs. Kleiser was born in Houston County on May 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Clint Houston Peacock and Bessie Quattlebaum Peacock. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served on the Personnel and Finance Committee, W.M.U., and the Stewardship Committee.. She was a dental assistant to Dr. Passmore and Dr. Lamar Hart, Sr... She was also associated for many years with Dr. Allen, E.N.T. and was a dental assistant at Fort Rucker. She loved Gardening, having been a past member of the Guardia Garden Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Kleiser, Sr., brothers, Edison Lee Peacock, Young Carlisie Peacock, Ray Houston Peacock, and John Edward Peacock.
Mrs. Kleiser leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Karen McCollum Brooks and her husband Jody from Gainesville, Ga.,son, W. Don Hagler and his wife Beth from Tallahassee, Fl., step-son, James W. Kleiser, Jr. from Dothan,brother, Allison Peacock from Dothan, four grandchildren, Carrie H. Pignato and her husband Jeff, Michele Gamble Dameron and her husband Leonard, Donald Chad Gray, Jared Martin Gray, four great-grandchildren, Jacob Pignato, Elisabeth Pignato, Gray Dameron, Nellie Kate Dameron, aunt Beatrice Quattlebaum Smith, several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Extendicare, Midsouth Home Health and Dr. Edwin Morris, III for all the loving care they gave to Mrs. Kleiser.
