Joseph Adolph Owens of Greenwood Street, Geneva, died Tuesday, Oct. 237 2007, at Wiregrass Medical Center after a lengtliy illness. He was 86 years old. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, from the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Geneva, with the Rev. Jerry McAdams officiating. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Grace Owens of Black; two sisters, Madge Owen and Polly Sue Smith. Survivors include his wife, Jean Smith Owens of Geneva; one stepson, Johnny Ray Smith and his wife, Jo, of Geneva; one stepdaughter, Joyce Arlington, and her husband, Fletcher, of Virginia; one brother, Earl Owens of Westville, Fla.; two sisters, Athalone Faulk and Dot Kelley, both of Geneva. Bottoms-Garden Chapel of Geneva, (334) 684-2982, is in charge of arrangements.
