Mrs. Maurine S. Davis of New Brockton passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at the Henry County Health and Rehab in Abbeville. She was 80.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday from the First Baptist Church in New Brockton with the Revs. Chad Hixson and Mike Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.
The family will receive friends at the church Thursday beginning at noon and continuing until service time. At all other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, Deborah Yarbrough, 5861 Shellfield Road, Enterprise.
Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 25, 1926, in Coffee County to the late Daniel Lee Stuckey and Lula Jane Herring Stuckey. She was member of the First Baptist Church in New Brockton. Flowers will be accepted or contributions could be made to the Henry County Health and Rehab, 212 Dothan Rosd, Abbeville, AL 36310, or to Covenant Hospice Inc., 2855 Ross Clark Circle, Suite 110, Dothan, AL 36301.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Henry County Health and Rehab for all their love and attention given to the family. Your kindness will always be remembered.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley Davis, New Brockton; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Warren Scott Yarbrough, Enterprise; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Rhonda Davis, New Brockton; one sister, Jane Atchley, New Brockton; four grandchildren, Blake Davis, Trevor Davis, Shane Yarbrough and Megan Yarbrough; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Wray and Logan Yarbrough.
