Angela Vaughn Pace

Angela Vaughn Pace, a resident of Ashford, died, Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at her residence following an extended illness. She was 55. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Ricky Plummer and Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007. Mrs. Pace was born Dec. 24, 1951, in Bainbridge, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Clayburn Vaughn and Mary Smith Vaughn and was a longtime resident of Houston County. She was a L.P.N. and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Harry Pace, (Lovetown) Ashford; mother, Mary Smith Vaughn, Dothan; aunt, Eva Smith, Plantation, Fla.; two sons and daughter-in-law, James and Tina Pace, Clay Pace, all of Dothan; three daughters and son-in-law, Jamie and Mike Kratky, Slocomb, Amanda Katie Pace, Michaela Lyn Pace, both of Dothan; four brothers, Beau Vaughn, John Vaughn, Charles Vaughn, Joseph Vaughn, all of Dothan; three sisters, Andrea Mims (twin), Cottonwood, Becky and Steve Skipper, Rhonda and Eric Mayhall, all of Dothan; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; daughter, Ginger Weyland, Pensacola, Fla.; several nieces and nephews also survive.
