Mrs. Maurine S. Bell passed away Monday evening, Oct. 15, 2007, at her home in Ozark. She was 85 Years of age.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Matthew Wright officiating. Burial will be In Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Family will receive friends during these hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer 2346 W. Main St., Dothan, or Community Care Hospice, 415 James St., Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Bell was born Feb. 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Joel D. Murphree Strickland and Ethel Duve Gunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Bell; four brothers, Dewitt Strickland, Joseph Arron Strickland, Marcus Strickland and Hanson Strickland.
She is survived by one daughter, Latricia A. Gavins of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Cleveland Bell and Regan of Ozark; and one sister, Kathleen Grimes of Ozark. Nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.
Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, (334) 774-4551, is in charge of arrangements.
