Nettie Harrison Wadsworth, a resident of Pawleys Island, S.C., died Oct. 5, 2007, at her residence following an illness. She was 83.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, in the St. Pauls Waccamaw United Methodist Church with the Revs. Nels Ledwell and Milton McGuirt officiating. Interment will be in the Beulah Baptist Cemetery in Dothan. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements.

or to Liberty Hospice, 2334 South 41st St., Wilmington, NC 28403.
Mrs. Wadsworth was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Wedowee, Alabama, a daughter of the late Mathew and Retta Williamson Rice. She was a member of the St. Pauls Waccamaw United Methodist Church. She formerly lived in Camden, Dothan and Birmingham before moving to Pawleys Island, S.C., where she had lived for the past seven years. Mrs. Wadsworth was preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-two years, Herman Harrison, a native of Dothan; and also her second husband, William Wadsworth; a sister, Mavis R. Thompson; and a brother, Alva Rice.
Surviving relatives include her sisters, Ezell Hester of Pawleys Island, S.C. and Euna McGhee of Birmingham; her brothers, Durward Rice and his wife, Mavis Rice of Lineville and Herbert E. Rice and his wife, Jimmie Rice of Lineville; several nieces and nephews including, Sheila Rogers and her husband, Jerome Rogers of Pawleys Island, S.C.
