Forest Leslie Boren

Forest Leslie Boren, a resident of East Saunders Road in Dothan, died Friday night, Oct. 5, 2007, in a Dothan hospital. He was 66. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. T.P. Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Avon. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. today at the mortuary in Headland. At other times the family will be at the home of a daughter, Angie Swearengin, 1207 Haven Drive in Dothan. Mr. Boren was born and reared in Phenix City, son of the late William Louis Boren and Jewell Lucille Lee Boren. He moved to Dothan in 1969. Mr. Boren was retired from the Houston County Road and Bridge Department. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving relatives include his wife, Kathy Jane Fulford Boren; two daughters, Cassandra Ann Powell; Angela Denise Swearengin and husband, Phillip Swearengin, all of Dothan; son, William Leslie Boren and wife, Kelly Boren, Malvern; sister, Eloise Camp and husband, Jim Camp, Valley; two brothers, Bill Boren and wife, June Boren, Phenix City, Curtis Boren and wife, Marilyn Boren, Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters-in-law, Patsy Swearengin and husband, Ronnie Swearengin, Kathy Terry, all of Dothan, Darlene George and husband, Charles George, Pa.; brother-in-law, Roger Fulford and wife, Connie Fulford, Dothan; eight grandchildren, Heather Aldridge and husband, Troy Aldridge, Jonathan Forrester, Tiffany Brunson, Elizabeth (Pooh) Wilson, William Boren, Jr., Emily Boren, Brittany McDonald and Justin (Turtle) Swearengin; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Preston Aldridge; special friends, Terry and Amy Brunson, Jimmy and Tracey Yates, Eric and Peggy Moore, Bill and Vicky Burks, John Lowe, Charles and Betty Terry and Paul McDonald. Serving as active pallbearers will be Eric Moore, Jimmy Yates, Sam Fulford, Pebbles Fulford, Randy Deese, Troy Aldridge, Jeff Fulford and Jerry Daniels.
