Rev. John Wayne Hicks of Malvern, AL passed away on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after a short illness. He was 71.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Oct. 8, 2007 in Malvern Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker, Rev. Gene Gainous, Rev. C. M. Holloway, and Rev. Travis Free officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The body will be placed in the church one hour before service time. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 3295 North County Road 69, Hartford, AL 36344 or to Malvern Baptist Church, P.O. Box 97, Malvern, AL 36349.
