Mrs. Mary Sue Lawrence, 53, of Church Street, Headland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Flowers Hospital after an unexpected death.
Mrs. Lawrence was born on Aug. 18, 1954, in Donalsonville, Ga. She was employed with Bell Supply as their office manager.
Mrs. Lawrence was of Baptist faith. She will always be remembered for her love of spending time with her family and especially her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Smith.
She is survived by her mother, Gertrude Smith, Malone, Fla.; her husband of 35 years, Stanley Eric Lawrence, Headland; two Sons, Eric Lawrence and wife, Jennifer, Headland, Jay Lawrence and wife, Lynn, Newville; one daughter, Kakki Kirkland and husband Todd, Taylor; one brother, Terry Smith and wife, Cissy, Malone, Fla.; two sisters, Pat Sims, Bascom, Fla., Brenda Clark and husband, Joe, Malone, Fla.; grandchildren, Zachary, Zoey, and Zane Lawrence, Hunter, Madison, Conner and Mason Kirkland, Ava Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home (Dothan) with Dr. Cecil Sanders officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Other times the family will gather at the residence of Eric Lawrence, 2325 County Road 13, Headland, AL.
Active pallbearers will be the Headland Fire Department. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Honor Guard from the Dothan Fire Department.
